My doctor prescribed my 10mg of Provera for 15days to try and regulate my cycle. I have been have irregular periods since January. Let me give you some background... In April I was admitted to the hospital for 1 day for anemia. I was given 3 bags of blood and iron through an IV for low blood counts. Since then my doctor has been trying to regulate my periods. He did two biopsies the first showed I had Chronic Endometriosis he have me Megestrol for 10 days. I finished all of that and the heavy bleed still exists. He also gave me birth control which I didn't take because I am trying to get pregnant. The second Biopsy was negative so now I'm confused, no endom!! Now he has prescribed me Provera, I started taking it on 7/6/13 that same day I got my period and it was very heavy and lots of clots, so I started Provera thinking it would slow it down, it did not happen, since I've been taking Provera 10mg 2 times a day for 15 days, I've been bleeding non stop. I'm not sure if its my period or the Provera. Anyway after ten days of taking this with heavy bleeding and huge clots I went back to my doctor, he gave me birth control again and did and ultrasound which show I had a submucol Fibroid
In the uterus. He said I would need to see a specialist because he has no experience with fibroids. I'm scared and don't know what to do. I stopped the Provera on day 10 which was 7/16 and I'm still bleeding heavy with clots. I need to know what could be going on with me and what my next steps would be. I am 30 years old and I do want to have one more child, I have an 11 year old daughter. Please help me
