    Wall hung toilets
We need to replace 2 wall hung oldie toilets. At least 20 years old and weak flushers. I've found 'pressure assisted' and 'power assisted' in descriptions of new units. Can these types of toilets still be flushed with a bucket of water during a power outage? And does 'power assist' mean this type needs to be plugged in?

Pressure assist uses a tank to allow water pressure to build up and then when you push the lever, forces water through. It can be flushed without any electricity. Power assisted uses a small electric motor to force flow. It needs electricity.

The answer is yes 8it can. The bucket of water will act like a gravity flush toilet. Cheers, Tom

All toilets and urinals can be "bucket" flushed as long as you get over the trap weir. We had a small rustic cabin on a lake, bathed in the lake, drank bottled water, carried buckets of water to the toilet for flushing until we got electricity.
