    common stock
    I have 5000 shares of common stock without par value. How do I find out the value if its not publicly traded?

    Find out what company issued the stock. Contact the company that issued the stock to find the value of each individual share of that stock then muiltiply that number by the amount of shares you posses. I hoped that helped you.
