I had gotten as a bonus when I worked at Atlanta Casualty. Tucked it away and just found it in an envelope in the back of a file cabinet.

Pready, did you actually read the site I posted, the info, the history of this stock - or was it easier to simply look up the address?

JKT - I don't think your post has much to do with the value of the American Premier Underwriter's stock certificate. That company was bought out by American Financial Group (AFG), which has indeed sued Amtrak, but that doesn't mean that AFG's stock is worthless. AFG is currently trading at about $51/share.

Here is what I read: "Amtrak is for all intents and purposes a government agency, and the stock has no value."

There are expansive explanations of the situations all over the Internet. I do not find any two sites with the same info. Here's one: "Nevertheless, in an effort to comply with the Act, Amtrak has made an offer to redeem the stock for cash at a price of $0.03 per share to the stockholders."

You are right - it appears there is or was a three cent a share value.
