I've been checked for stds and have none , treated for bladder infections even when they cannot find it in my urine but tell me that my urine is indicating some sort of infection been treated for reoccurent bv thrush urethritis and still suffering. My symptoms are burningstinging pain in the vagina and when I urinate sore red hot temperatured hurts to even have my underwear touch it inflamed swollen clitoris yellow discharge and itching here and there. I used to feel like I wasn't empting my bladder ll the way but recntly I don't . I have had pelvic pains as well . I have changed my soap to bar sensitive skin by dove changed what material I wear for underweaar to cotton, don't wear tight clothing , I drink A LOT of waater , recently been wearing condoms to see if that would help but it doesn't and my partner and I both wash and urinate before and after sex I am also taking a probiotic. Thrush is yeast (and your symptoms sound like it too, and women can pass it to their partners and back again). Antibiotics don't cure yeast infections. There are several OTC and prescription products and it makes NO SENSE that you would go all these years without being treated for yeast! Or are we missing something?
Both of you have to be treated, whether he has outward symptoms or not.

First off besides what joypulv said about antibiotics, - the antibiotics also do not work when you have to take them too often. All they eventually do is destroy good bacteria as well as bad so you have to replace the good bacteria with probiotics. So you need to eat ORGANIC or all natural yogurt like Stonyfield. Yoplait, Dannon and the greek yogurts or not good because they have bad ingredients that work against the probiotics. Other probiotics include, kefir, flora, Acidophilus, etc... ask at GNC or Whole foods or somewhere like that or look it up on the internet. You have to take that to replace the good bacteria but you don't want to do that whenever you are taking the antibiotics. If you do while taking the antibiotics it has to be 6 hours apart. Also I occasionally would get burny and one day my boss was saying that when she takes a bath without cleaning it that happens to her. I realized that even though the tub looked clean and I had cleaned it earlier but someone might have taken a shower or bath since making it not as clean as it looked. I started cleaning the tub before every bath and I rarely have the problem any more.
