how to install wood fence on top of concrete block wall
I have an existing concrete block wall. Every other pocket is filled with concrete. This wall is 4' tall and want to add about 3' more height of a shadow box style wooded fence on top. I would like for view on both sides, inside and out, to be the show side. I'm thinking of using 2x4 as post and 2x2 as the runners, but I'm actually not sure where or how to begin. I would like to know the best way to secure the post to the existing wall securely. Also have a metal gate that I want to install wood pickets on for privacy as well. I'm also not sure how to begin to secure the pickets to the metal fence.

Make a picket fence the size of gate and secure it with wire ties and gate brackets.

To add 3 foot fence on top of block wall, install posts into block and fill with concrete. Use quick set concrete. Secure fence to posts.
