This guy keeps telling me nice words and keeps saying I match the girl of his dreams. He keeps saying he fears for my safety and he likes talking to me. Yet he doesn't want to get into a relationship. Why do u think this is happening?

I can't believe nobody has asked these questions yet so I will.

Why on earth would he fear for your safety? Why would you consider dating someone where it was not safe and your partner would have to fear for your safety? Why would you start the relationship off with drama?

Drama dooms a relationship and you two are laying the path before you even start. I don't get it.
