I am undergoing a procedure soon that requires general anesthesia, but am terrified that I will be in the tiny percentage of people who remain awake yet paralyzed. I had surgery 20 yrs ago and responded appropriately to being put under, does this mean I always will?
I am about 4 weeks pregnant, I recently broke my wrist and my ortho recommend I have surgery on it. I know general anesthesia is not a good idea, but how do you feel about local anesthesia of just my arm? Very wooried!
