    Pink wire
    My fan motor came loose pulling 2 wires out of the wire caps. One is white the other pink. Where do they go?

    I assume you mean that the ceiling fan/light came loose from the ceiling. If that is correct describe the wires coming from th efan/light. Describe the wires in the ceiling box.

    Describe like this "I have one 3-wire cable with red black and white wires."
    Or
    "I have a 2-wire cable with black and white wires and a 3-wire cable with black red and white wires. The black of the 3-wire cable is connected to the white of the 3-wire cable."

    A wire is a wire. A cable is 2 or more wires in an outer covering.
