How to remove the window from a basement hopper frame
I need to remove the window from a basement hopper window (tilts down). The window has two tabs on either side of the window and the window tilts so that the left side is higher than the right side, but not enough for the tab to clear the frame and remove the window. The tabs don't seem to "depress" to allow window removal either. How do I remove the window to repair the outer pane in this two-paned window?

There are 2 mounting tabs. Lift the window a couple of inches and tilt it in, grab the sash at the frame, pull the right side down and slide the left side up. You should see the hole or latch where the sash pin fits. On the diagonal, the window has plenty of space to come out. Unless this is a very peculiar window, they all come out this way.
