New Fan Motor and Capacitor - Install Questions
I just got a new fan motor and capacitor for my central ac unit. My plan was to simply wire the new motor the same as the old motor. The problem is the new capacitor is different. The old capacitor had three poles with 4 tabs on each pole. The new one has two poles with 4 tabs on each pole. The motor says "capacitor between brown and black". Does that mean literally? The fan motor has three wires (brown, red and black). Can someone tell me how I connect the three wires to a two pole capacitor without burning up a new motor and capacitor?

    Thanks in advance for replies!

Unfortunately no. It only has manufacturer, serial, and other specs (5/370 vac) so I know the new one and old one are same specs, but no other markings.
