    Confused about charges
My friend has a couple months on parole in ca.came to CO and was arrested for resisting arrest and possession of gun. However the police beat him up pretty bad and he was unconscious when they claim they found a weapon. The state dismissed all charges but the Feds have now picked up the case. What should he expect?

He can expect at the very least to go back to serve every bit of the time he would have served had he not gotten parole... PLUS time for any additional charges.

There is a lot more to this you aren't telling us... or he has not told you. Getting beat up by the police is almost always the result of attempting to resist arrest or threatening a police officer... and someone looking at going back to serve time has every incentive to lie.

Sorry to tell you that... but I've known far too many cops... and not all of them the most outstanding ones. There is a lot missing to the story you told us.
