    Parole Violation in NJ
My brother in law was just arrested for parole violation. His violation regarded him missing his weekly program a couple of times. Instead, he was working. Never failed random drug testing. This is his first offense. What can he be facing? We're in jersey.

    Hello B:

10-15 days in the slam. Those meetings are important.. I guess he's figuring that out, huh?

Hello! Thanks for the response. Yes, hopefully he is learning his lesson. So, my next question is: 15 days even if his initial charge was sexual assault? (third degree) (this is under nj law btw) They say his maximum (worst case scenario) is a year. But the parole board has yet to decide on it. (his hearing was just last week) But I'm thinking since it was just a parole violation based on missing the community program meanwhile all the other conditions were met ( maintaining a job, negative drug test, etc.) they won't be so harsh? Any input? (Sorry for the run ons)

    Hello again, B:

The underlying charge has nothing to do with the parole violation.. I'm sticking with my 15 days.
