    How to check the capacitor on central air unit
    I turn the central air on and put my hand on top of compressor I didn't feel it kick on. The bottom of compressor get hot and the fan running, I for get Ito tell you I take them off and lay the fan on the wall just like normal turn the air on the out side fan kick on but not the compressor I set the thermosatt at low temp than the house temp. I could feel it kick on like second and it off again my central air is carrie. Is that possible capacitor and how to check it before I buy a compressor. The low side feel warm high side feel nothing.
