Civil Law Suit- Credit Card Debt
My ex-husband is being sued. He has not been served the papers yet. They came to my home looking for him. How long will they attempt to serve him and what happens if they are not able to locate him?

They will attempt to serve him following the laws of your State and if they already have a court date and he hasn't been served but they can show the courts they have tried a order of default judgement may be entered against him. He needs to take responsibility of this and get it straightened out.
