    Shower Diverter Not Hexagonal Nut
I am trying to remove diverter. Unlike most faucets, however, the stem is smooth circular, not hexagonal to fit standard shower valve socket wrenches. There are two cut-outs in the brass opposite each other that look like some sort of tool would be used to remove the stem, a plastic piece fits into it there. I can't find anything at the hardware store that would lock into it. Can email picture(s) if needed. Thanks!

Brand is Delta, don't know model number but would be low end, the cheapest when installed in 1987 by guy who built cabin. It is a typical 3 knob -- diverter between hot & cold. THANKS for any help!

I am not familiar with that particular delta unit, so I think your best bet would be to e-mail delta a picture of the faucet and talk to tech. support and see what they can tell you about proper repair and availability of parts in your area (or online). Contact delta @
