I have this dark mark on the side of my nose
I started scratching my nose like dragging my nail all the way from the top to the bottom to get rid of the whiteheads. This continued for about a few months till people asked me what the dark mark was on the left side of my nose and a bit on the right side. I had not paid much attention to it cause I thought it would go away. Eventually it got worse, now its like totally noticeable and it now causes people to look at it, rub their nose at me or sometimes even stare at me. Now the problem is the right side has healed fully by itself but the left side is still dark. The dermatologist said it would take some time but it would go away but this was six months ago. I now plan to go back but I would like to take some serious advice. The mark is on the side where the nose is connected to the face like the part that gets flared up. Help me please, I can't go another day with being stared at like I'm so freaking alien.

Serious advice comes from a professional, not from strangers who can't see what you are explaining. Sounds like you bruised the skin with the scratching.
We can't tell you how to heal this, maybe time like the doctor said. Best, advice is, go back to the doctor as you are going to do. Or use a concealer on it so it less noticeable until it goes away entirely.

Use anti mark cream, it will take time. If suits you apply coconut oil.

What do you think concealer is? And what will coconut oil do?

Coconut oil? Really? I meant nothing foolish by serious. What is a concealer by the way?

Concealer is kind of cosmetic. Like foundation or cream. Coconut oil is good for skin.

I don't know what benefit coconut oil would have. I know you didn't mean anything foolish. Concealer is a make up stick that when applied to the face conceals blemishes.

What is anti-mark cream? I would put nothing on it without consulting with a Dermatologist.
I find nothing about coconut oil removing dark marks - what am I missing?

Excellent - please let us know. It sounds like some sort of scarring and I'll be interested if the Doctor prescribes some sort of lightening cream.
