    Knowledge of framing business
    My husband is a framer and wants to work directly for builder. The builder wants license and insurance.I have license for business, but what is insurance called for framers, and is there a different kind of license?And what is "bonded" mean?please help!! :(

    Call a commercial insurance broker. A Bond means another insurance policy that you will do the work and it will done correctly. You will also need workers comp insurance (very expensive for framers). You may need a business license and/or a license to do framing. You may want to speak with a good CPA or Attorney also. The SBA, www.sba.gov may be able to help also.
