    Restraining order,custody,kidnapping,what should I do?
In June my restraining order on my daughters dad ends. I'm worried about what's going to happen if we go to fight for custody and visitation. Here is the story: June of 2012 I left him after he beat me and took off with my daughter for 24 hours I had no clue where she was. I got the restraining order because I was in fear for my life and my daughters not because I don't want him to have anything to do with her. I want him to be apart of her life but I don't want him to be able to see her with out me there I'm so scared he will try and run with her again. There has been no child support or custody arrangement . And like I said I want him to be there in her life but I don't want to lose my baby. BTW he lives in Tennessee and I live in Florida I moved here when I left him because I moved up there with him I had no family there.

Make him apply for visitation. When he does ask the court to order only supervised visits due to past history.

Restraining orders are to protect people from threats of violence. They are not substitutes for custody orders.

The restraining order if against you, never stopped him from seeing child. It is also stupid to want to be there when he visits, if he already abused you. Having it done in a third party or official center would be best.

But you will have to show he is a threat to the child, NOT You, to get any restrictions on custody and visitation orders.
