    Light switch
I have an existing ceiling fan that was connected to a light switch. I had to replace the switch after taking some wall out. I cannot get the ceiling fan to work now hooking up the new switch. I'm using a single pole grounding lighted rocker switch... what am I doing wrong?

What type of switch was the old one? Are you hooking the new switch up in exactly the same way?
