    Water line clogged
I recently had a new hot water heater installed in a rental property. Now the water flows slowly out of the kitchen sink and the washer doesn't fill. The screen
On the back of the washer was checked and it was clear. The hoses was taken
Off and checked. This is a rental washer and was checked by the rental co. I checked with the plumber that installed the hot water heater. He said that since
The pipes are galvanized that when the water was turned back on that sediment
Was pushed and clogging up the water lines to the sink and washer. He said I
Might put on a new kitchen sink faucet that would clear those water lines. Help! The renter is needing to wash clothes today.

    Hi Antonpetty

When the hoses were removed from the washing machine and checked did you run water from the washing machine valve(s) to see if water was flowing properly from the valve(s)?

Did you remove the aerator from the end of the kitchen faucet? If not, remove the aerator and run water from the kitchen faucet without the aerator in place... how does water flow now?

Let me know the answers to my questions, OK?

Great advice and solutions by Mark. However, Galvanized pipes build up rust over the years that can reduce the flow/ (see image) There's no simple repair for this except to repipe. I had the same problem in my cold water lines and had to repipe with PVC. Good luck, Tom
