Took Next Choice, 2 days late for period
All right so I had unprotected sex last Tuesday morning which was the 22nd day of my cycle. He pulled out but I'm not sure if he did on time, so about 55 hours later, on Thursday, I took the Next Choice One Step pill. I have this app on my phone that says I was supposed to start my period that following Tuesday. I never got it. My stomach has been hurting just a little and I've been really tired these past two days. Could I be pregnant? I'm really worried.

Let me try to get this straight. You were supposed to start your period on April 30?

If that is the case and you still have not had your period, I would take a HPT using your first morning urine. It is now May 15th where I live and in some places the 16th. There is a very great chance you are pregnant.

"Pull out" is the least effective method of birth control. You had unprotected sex. Yes, you could be pregnant. The "morning after" pill is, likewise, not 100%. It also causes changes in a woman's body.

I find Planned Parenthood to be a reliable site with info from professionals. Here is what is posted: “What Are the Disadvantages of the Morning-After Pill (Emergency Contraception)? There have been no reports of serious complications among the millions of women who have used the morning-after pill. Side effects are uncommon, and usually stop within a day or two. Possible side effects includean earlier or later, heavier or lighter period than usual breast tenderness, dizziness, or headaches, and nausea or vomiting. If you vomit within two hours of taking the pill(s), it won't be effective and you need to take it again. Frequent use may cause periods to become irregular and unpredictable. Emergency contraception should not be used as a form of ongoing birth control because there are other forms of birth control that are a lot more effective and less expensive. Emergency contraception does not protect against sexually transmitted diseases.” http://www.plannedparenthood.org/hea...-pill-4363.asp
