    Provera 5 or 10 days
I got prescribed provera to strt my period it is 10 mg for 10 days but I've been reading of people taking it for 5 days only. I really want to get things going and I am currently on day 6 and want to stop taking it to see if my period comes. I'm already getting cramps like I want to start.

Your doctor has prescribed for 10 days. Take it for the full 10 days, as prescribed, for maximum effectiveness.
