    Back pain at 37 weeks
I am 37 weeks and 2 days pregnant and am experiencing back pain so bad I can barely stand to move around. I'm not having any contractions or pain in my vaginal area so I'm not sure if I should go in to be seen by a medical professional or not

You don't say what you weight is or the babies weight but the pain could be from your hips starting to expand to prepare for delivery. However, it wouldn't hurt to call you doctor or nurse and talk to them about the pain you are having. One thing that helped me during my pregnancies was to lay on my side and put pillows between my knees thus keeping my knees apart when I slept. The further along I got, the more pillows I used. Sleeping next to a wall or something to keep the pillows from sliding helps. This helps take some of the pressure off your lower back and off the hip joints. A small pillow under your breasts helps keep things balanced. Congratulations and Good luck.
