    Antique hand carved wooden medallion
    I have a wooden medallion that came out of a house on Logans Circle in Washington DC. I reallt don't know what it is. Can someone help?

    It's very interesting. It looks like a frame. Sadly not my area of expertise.

    Are there any markings on it, the name of the company or person that made it, a date, anything?

    No markings or name, but I did notice gold paint runs on the back.

    It's really hard to determine the worth of something, or even what it is or it's age, without some sort of markings. At least online.

    I would really recommend bringing it to someone that specializes in antiquities, especially furniture or frames etc. To find info online you'd have to find the exact right person that has the exact right expertise in this exact area, and it's not going to be easy. It would be like finding a needle in a haystack.

    I wish I could be more help. I do hope you come back when you find out more about it. It's a beautiful piece. :)
