My name is crystal o.. I have two kids there father is a sex offender he was cought with a minor.. he beat up more then once but its only on record of once. He has a very violiant record all the way from regular assult to 2 n 3 degree assults and domestic asualt as well.I live in South Dakota and he live in nebrasaks he wants to see the kids and have them but I said no not tell some type of court agreement is made.but I'm afraid he might just come down and beat me to get hiis kids. I call him under privite so he can talk to the kids but my son is 2 n doesn't ever what to talk to him his daughter is 6 month.. he doesn't talk to him but for a min then start agrueing with saying things like ill get my kids even if I have to go there and take them.I changed my number and privet call him because he would cal me 25 time in 2 hours driving me nuts... now he facebooks me off his sister account bugging me it bother me if he wants to talk to his son or want picture but he is accusing me of thing that he don't even now about.. I work everyday .I have been supporting my kids there hole life.. he has been in and out of jail sense his son was born.I was pregnant when he beat me up and hospitalized me.I just don't what my kids rasied around some one who is always drunk doesn't have an income and I don't know if he is ever high or not he was on meth when he beat me up and drunk so that type of violants for my kids to see or live with is not good.. there happy here no one harms them.I do have family they do as much as they can but there not going to stop him from coming and beating me again.I need some advice pleace

I can totally relate to u as we speak I'm hiding in my new house which is 70 miles away from my ex who's threatened to find out where I live today , he's a violent alcoholic , I let him see the kids some weekends which I drop off and pick up which he doesn't drink while my 4 children are there but my new partner hates him but would never fight with him he's very calm but would protect me and the kids with his life , I get threats a few times a week and usually ignore them but today he said he was coming to my area and my partner is working away all day , it's a horrible thing to go through , the only advice I could give would b to see a solicitor for legal advice and to put restrictions on what he is and isn't allowed to do , hope you get through this hold your chin up and be a strong mother .

While we can't predict what a court will do, I think it highly unlikely that one would allow anything but supervised visitation under the circumstances. You should go to court to get a restraining order to keep him away from you and to not allow any visitation.
