Hpv and oral sex for older couple
My wife and I are in our late 50s and have been faithfully married for over 20 years. We were both exposed to hpv in our 20s. Now my wife is declining to have oral sex because she says that it will cause throat cancer. My feeling is that after almost 30 years since exposure to hpv, oral sex does not increase the chance of cancer for a monogamous couple. Is there increased risk of hpv caused throat cancer for an older couple having oral sex? Are there any authoritative articles describing this risk?

After 20 years of this not being an issue... I think there is really a lot more behind this than it appears.

I was diagnosed with HPV, I no longer have the cancerous cells but I am starting a new relationship and I am concern to pass it on to my new partner. I got it from my previous partner, we were together for over 2 years and we ALWAYS used condoms. What is the recommendation on sex with HPV?
