    Could I be pregnant?
My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex on March 31. I was supposed to get my period on April 8. But it actually came two days early and was really, really dark brown. Almost black. Then it got like watery pink, and for about a day or less it was red, then back to brown. It has lasted the same as a regular period, but the color changes are what's making me think I am pregnant. I read online that this sometimes happens. That sometimes if you have sex close to your period and you become pregnant, your body will not detect it yet and you will have your period, but you will still be pregnant. Thoughts? I really want to have a baby! PS, I'm having some mild symptoms, like my breasts are tender and my nipples are darkening. I'm also super tired all the time and have not really had an appetite.

First, it would be way too early for the symptoms you're describing, so those symptoms are likely due to something else.

Could you be pregnant? Yes. Some women bleed all throughout their pregnancy. Wait until 2 weeks past your periods due date, then test using first morning urine.

Realize that it takes the average couple 1-2 years to conceive once they start actively trying, tracking ovulation, etc.

    Good luck.
