    Change birth control
    Hi I wanted to know at the age off 17 can I get off the birthcontal that I am on and get on a different one with out my mom being with me because I don't stay with her and the one I am one is makking me bleed heavy but I have the one that in my arm

    It depends on where you are. But, in the US I believe that at age 16 you can get birth control without your parents knowing (someone correct me if I'm wrong). However, if you're on her insurance plan, it could get a little tricky.

    Sorry to ask, but a part from her living with you is there a reason you wouldn't want to talk to her about this? Most mothers would help their daughters change contraceptive plans if they knew what sort of side effects they were causing or if their daughters wanted.

    You should, but again where are you at ? And are you going back to same doctor that prescribed it to you to start with
