No problems ac/handler working fine can relay cause fire?
    Hi,
Eldely 90 yr old neighbors live in 1st floor Condo unit. Had a fire in furnace closet/. Ac/handler. Fire dept. said it started in a junction box (in between floors-two story bldg.) Condo Association Insurance says fire started in the relay switch?? I had no problems with the air or the heat - everything was fine. How can the fire start in the relay switch? Florida law requires Association to cover this but they're trying to blame the unit owner!

Does the unit owner have insurance? Let the insurance company handle it.
