    Need a quick tax question
    How can I save on my taxes 1040. My stepson and girl friend lives rent free in my home. They are in their 20's She works he doesn't. How can I cut my taxes?
    He wants to be a Bum he said. He made in 2012 $0. Help me please. I need
    Some write offs or something to keep me out of paying IRS a lot from my job.

    I looked at IRS Pup 501 and did not understand. You think I'm crazy but we just lost his big brother to a car accident and he was in jail for 30 days for fighting.

    You save taxes if you itemize and have more allowable expenses which you can list and deduct.

    Are you asking if you can claim your son as a dependent?
