    Form 8843
    Hi
I am a postdoc in the USA on a J1 Visa and I started to work on January 1st 2012. However, I entered the country on December 28th, 2011 (no income for these three days of 2011). I am working on my tax return I am wondering whether during last year (2012) I should have submitted a 2011 8843 form? I did not.
    How should I proceed?
    Thanks

Get a 2011 version of the Form 8843 from Internal Revenue Service, complete it, SIGN IT and mail it to the following address:

    DEPARTMENT OF THE TREASURY
    INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE
    AUSTIN TX 73301

    Better late than never!

But do NOT worry about submitting it late!
