Wait until you are four weeks late and they are close enough to each other it doesn't matter.

Don't bother earlier than two weeks late because you will be likely to get a false negataive.

Any home pregnancy test is fine, even a dollar store one. It's not really about the test or how much you pay for it, it's about when you take the test and how much hcg hormone is being produced when you take it. Obviously the later you take it, the more accurate the results (most medical professionals suggest waiting at least 2 weeks after a missed period, and using first morning urine to test). Those tests that claim to tell you before your period is due, are a load of bull. False negatives are very common, false positives aren't.
