    Working whilst pregnant
I've just found out I'm pregnant 3-4 weeks in fact and I'm still wanting to work, I'm a carer for a disabled boy with muscular dystrophia which means he can't move! I have to lift his head forward when he leans back or has been to the toilet, I have to bend down and push his feet back but it's not all the time, now and again, I only work 25 Hours a week! Will I be okay? Because I keep panicking :(

You will get to know your limitations. Body mechanics are good to use when you are pregnant to get those muscle groups working. It doesn't sound like you have a heavy work load, but hope you don't eventually have to do any heavy transferring of this patient when you get on with your pregnancy. Do you use any mechanical lifting devices with him?

Healthy pregnant women are able to do much more then you can imagine. I rode my horse right up to my eighth month, but gently mind you!

Work as long as you feel able, follow doctor's orders, eat well and enjoy your pregnancy and the happiness that comes with it!
