    Speedometer not working
1986 ford f360 with a 7.3 diesel and a five speed manual transmission the speedometer quit working everything else on the odometer works. Coiled the problem be the sensor on transmission or how do I test it.

You need to isolate whether it's speedometer or cable related. If it's the former, which is most likely, you will likely need to replace the speedometer. Try calling your local salvage yard. My experience with trying to repair old cable-driven speedometers has not been good.

My Ford Figo had the same problem (speedometer not working) . I replace the 5 amp fuse in the main panel under the dash and its fixed the problem.

Ford Figo no doubt, has one of the most well engineered and optimized engine and built quality. The Ford Figo does look compact, but there is ample of space on the inside.

You're talking about a modern car versus a 1986 truck. In 1986, the majority of speedometers were cable driven, not electrical. No fuse.

To the OP... if the odometer works but the speedometer itself doesn't, then the speedometer in the dash is probably bad. The sending unit in the trans and the cable both work odometer and speedometer. So you know if the odometer is working, then the sending unit and the cable are most likely fine.
