I have a basement floor I want to tile with ceramic tile. It previously had linoleum tile which has been removed. Is it possible to tile over the old mastic or will that affect adhesion of the Thin-set. I am trying to avoid the cost of removing the old mastic which has been estimated at $1,200.00.

I have a unlevel basement floor I would like to tile. I have laid tile on unlevel floor and came to the conclusion that it will never be a professional job until leveled properly. What do I use to level out the basement and where can I find it. Thanks

Having some trouble removing old tile from my basement floor. Is there any thing that I can do to lossen the tile up first. I have tried to scrap it and chip it but it still won't come up in some spots of the floor. HELP.
