I'm 16, I had sex for the 4th time(with the same guy) this last time I noticed that the entrance of my vagina instead of being round has like a little cut which makes it appear to have a little dip( it sort of looks like a piece is missing) it bled a little after intercourse. No I have a very light yellow mostly white discharge with no smell or discomfort. Is this normal? My mom said my hymen could have broke, but I have had sex before so I yam confused and need help

What are the chances it is not that?

Couple days after sex I have a heavy white discharge is that normal? No irritation or burning. Im 16 if that helps. Also I've only had sex with one guy who does not have any stds, And I've also noticed that Instead of where the hymen is, where it should be round, Or moon shaped, Mine has a little cut in the center that makes it look like it dips down but its really small. Is that normal?

Does he wear a condom? The discharge could be semen. It could also have nothing to do with the intercourse and could be a sign you are ovulating. We can't really know and you would need to ask your doctor.

As for your second question, you cannot see your own hymen. It's internal and is impossible to see yourself. A doctor could probably see it with a speculum, scope and light in a gynecological exam.

I'm not sure what you are referring to but the hymen is a thin membrane which ruptures when you have intercourse the first time. The only evidence that this has happened is normally a bit of blood and some pain the first time you have intercourse. As you are no longer a virgin, you don't have a hymen anymore.

As an aside, sixteen is very young for sex. I would be remiss as an adult if I did not counsel you to stop having sex until you are old enough to handle the potential consequences of an STD or pregnancy. Further, it increases the emotional bond and makes things much more difficult when a relationship fails. As an adult you can avoid seeing the person again. In high school, you've got to see the guy every day, the story of what you did with him can be spread all over school, and you will hear about all his future relationships until you graduate and move on. There is a lot of value in waiting at least until you are engaged before you risk STDs and pregnancy with a man. At least know there's a serious relationship in place with a reasonable and realistic expectation of a life-long commitment. Few can offer that in high school.

You should also be able to be very candid with your doctor about your sexuality as being sexually active brings about new medical responsibilities for you. When you are a minor, you are not entitled to the levels of privacy about your medical business from your parents that you will be entitled to at 18. Just food for thought - not a judgment, just trying to protect your best interests.

I will note that first you have no idea if your boyfriend has any STD or not, 80 percent of them will not show up , esp on the guys. Many of the more serious ones show signs, then disappear, not healed just signs go away.

So unless you stood beside him and heard the doctor tell him, you are guessing he does not without any knowledge of it,

Next many women will have a slight discharge, if there is no smell and it is not yellow or brown it may just be normal.

But now that you are sexually active you will need regular check ups with your doctor

How long has it been since you first had sex? If this is still only the 4th time you've had sex, I would think that it's possible your hymen did rip or even just the walls of your vagina.

How long have you been having the discharge? The discharge does not sound abnormal. If it were, I think it would have a smell and/or cause discomfort. However, the 'dip' you describe sounds strange. If I were you, I'd hold off on sex for a while, wait a couple of days and see if it doesn't get better, then if you're still worried, see a doctor. Only a doctor can tell you what's really going on - all we can do is give it our best guess.
