    Hernia operation
My husband is overall having a few health problems. He has an inguinal hernia and is awaiting his oepration in 7 days to repair it. But in the last 2 days he started to have tingling in his hands, then today his little finger went numb and half of his ring finger and now has pains in his armpit. Could this be lung cancer as I know this can be one of the symptoms i.e. pancoast tumor. Sorry if that sounds ridiculous, but I have been googling. He is an ex smoker but smoked a lot around 30 a day since he was 13 and he is now 40, he stopped smoking 1 month ago. Or could there be another cause? Please note he has been off work for 2 months so has not been doing any physical activity and doenst do any lifting and hasn't had an accident on banged his arm. Or neck.

If he is scheduled for surgery in a week the person to discuss this with is his Physician.

The tingling could be just about anything.

This really highlights one of the reasons that websites like Google and web-md can be mentally bad for the suffering individual. We're wired to look for worst case. They present it. Could be a hang nail or leukaemia!

    Do what judy suggests.
