    Private mortgage that I own
    If I sell this private mortgage to a third party but retain the serviceing of it, do I have to notify the party of the change of ownsership of the note. If notice is not given to the people who owe the mortgage, have any rules or laws been violated ?

    In general, no.

    But you should read the note to be sure.
