I am 19 and I've had only one partner. However, I was diagnosed with herpes a year ago. I have been irregular since I first got my period at 11. Doctors never really did much but say it'll get regular eventually. -__- eventually I tried birth control pills for a few months and my periods, slowly, regulated. Recently I have been getting my periods towards the beginning of the month (last 3 months). This month,jan. I should have gotten my period around the 7th. I didn't. I waited awhile because I thought it was just stress. I am married so we have unprotected intercourse, we were trying to conceive for over a year. We actually went 2 years (including this year 2012) unprotected trying to conceive but never getting pregnant. Back to this month, few weeks after the expected date for my period, we had sex and after I noticed light red blood almost like a normal period. It faded within the next day then for the next 2 days I saw dark clotted brown discharge, I figured it must have been old blood then my period will follow. But then it stopped and for 2 or 3 more days I had light red almost pink discharge. And now it's a peach color. Not sure what the hell is going on. I've never gotten pregnant before even when we tried having intercourse everyday for two months. So I doubt it's that. Could it be another std? Or is it an infection? When I visit my OBGYN she is never helpful. Oh and I was getting cramps before this discharge madness started but after the expected period date. And I RARELY get cramps during periods.

This could be many things, pregnancy is one of them. You have to wait till you are at least 2 weeks late and then do a pregnancy test with the first urine of the morning.

If negative I would wait one more week and do the same thing.
If negative, wait till next period is due, and do one last test, if still negative go in and see the doctor.

It could be an infection, it could be an STD, it could be several things, you will just have to wait.

You can of course also just go into your doctor for a blood test for pregnancy and if not pregnant, test of other issues.

*** also having sex every day for two months is really a bad idea to get pregnant, it lowers his sperm count on the sexual activities, you should be tracking your actual ovulation using body temp and charting. And time your sex a couple of days prior to ovulation.

Because I have yet to get pregnant after so much time, I have wondered if there was a possibility that I can be infertile or have less eggs than average. Infertility does run in my family, both sides.
