I have had sex with my boyfriend all month until January 11 and calculators show that I conceived on January 12... My lmp was December 29 who is most likely the father

Conception calendars are just guesses, they are good plus or minus one week, sometimes even up to two weeks.

There is no way at all, to narrow conception down to even a week, so a day, not at all.

If you have sex with someone else ( assume that is the issue) then you will have to do a DNA test after chld si born

Yes I had sex with the other guy on January 11... Then conceived on the 12

With dates of encounters this close you will have to have a DNA test done when the child is born.

Well it says I'm about four weeks and five days so would the conception date be right?

No you did not "conceive" on the 12, the fact is you do not know the exact day you conceived. You conceived at best guess the week before or the week after the 12th. And it may be even further out than that.

Also due dates and even conception dates are likely to change slightly as you do tesing further along.

There is no exact date that is the issue, doctors or estimation planners do a real dis-service by saying a specific day, since they have no idea of an exact day

I had no idea I could get pregnant right after I had sex with the second guy

Also it takes the sperm 2 , 3 or 4 days to travel to the egg, so conception would take place at least 2 days after sex, not on the day you had sex.

Estimation is not an exact science. It is only an educated guess. Sperm can live inside a woman for up to 3-5 days before conception may occur.

It is impossible to tell who the father is in your situation without a DNA test.

And no one is saying anything about how many guys, just that there is no way at all, to know which man it is, this is a very common issue, we have most likely at least one person a day on here with the same issue

Lol my husband done this to me once. He had been gone on a trip for 4 days. My doctor used the lmp and it showed I got pregnant while he was gone. Most likely its his baby. Doctors can't calculate the exact day. Plus his sperm can lay in you for 3 to 5 days. Tell him to look it up lol. Hope all goes well and if he wants dna go for it .

OK, you are just not getting it, YOU DID NOT CONCEIVE ON THE 12!!

This is a day they guessed at, it could be a week earlier, or even a week later. They give you a estimated date that falls in the middle of the estimated time,

It was never ever suppose to be thought of as an exact date.

It could easily be the guy on the 11 if the conception was on the 14th.

You see, there is no way to know who the father of this child is without a DNA test.

Dating is an inexact science. Just because you were TOLD you conceived on the 12th doesn't mean you did. Dating is based on a scientific calculation. It assumes that all women ovulate on a specific day during their menstrual cycle. This is not accurate for most women.

Unless there is a camera in your fallopian tube/ovary, we don't know exactly when a woman ovulates or conceives, we can only estimate. Estimation is not exact.

You could have ovulated earlier than the norm making the first guy the father, or later than the norm, making the second guy the father. There is just no way to know beyond the shadow of a doubt without that DNA test we keep mentioning.
