Has it been sitting with gas in it since last winter?

Chances are that the gas gum up the jets in the carb sitting over the summer.

Try either removing the plug, pour a few drops of gas in the plug hole, reinstall the plug and try to start. Or remove the air filter and pour a small amount of gas in the carb throat.

If it fires and attempts to run for few seconds that will confirm that no gas is getting to cylinder.

You can try that a few times but you will probably have to remove the carb, disassemble and clean.

When storing always either run all the gas out or add fuel stabilizer to the gas.

Thanks, I thought that might have been the problem. I knew better than that .
I guess I just didn't want to waste any gas at $5.00 per gal.

Well don't feel to bad. I did the same thing out of carelessness. Mine wouldn't start and I pulled the plug and got an attempt to start. Second time it actually ran for about 30 seconds. Third time it ran with choke close, and after a few minutes it ran with choke open. Thankfully I have electric start.

    I hate messing with carbs.
