    flooring under an acrylic tub
We've removed a fiberglass tub/shower unit and are replacing it with an acrylic tub, then tiling around the side walls. The tub/shower unit sat on 2 X 6 decking, not the subfloor. We plan to lay 4 mil plastic on the deck, then mortar under the new tub. Is that OK or should we put down subfloor (plywood or cement board) first?
