Only if you ask it. That IS what this site is all about, asking questions and getting answers. We can't know if a question can be answered until we see it. There is a lot of expertise on this site to help with most anything.

I am now 5 weeks pregnant and I've been trying to get this date of conception down. But I'm kind of confused. My lmp was 12/21/2012. I am wondering if I cld have gotten pregnant on 12/26/2012 or the week after. Is 12/26/2012 too soon to have gotten pregnant. is it after I ovulate? Which would have been 01/04/2013 with a regular cycle of 28 days?

Pinpointing conception dates is an inexact science. There is no way to pin it down more than a 2 week period. So while the 1/4 date is more likely, we can't rule out 12/26.

    Why does this matter?

As Scott said, conception is an inexact science. Why? Because there is no camera in your ovaries and fallopian tubes to know exactly when you ovulate and when the sperm meets the egg.

Dating is an educated guess that can go plus or minus 2 weeks. 9 days is too close together to even try to venture a guess. If you are concerned about paternity you will have to have a DNA test once the baby is born.

Agree, conception at best is give or take a week, often it is give or take 2 weeks.

So conception dates given are always just estimates never exact. Since these dates are failrly close, there is no way to really know.
