    How to find the hardness of solution
    100.0 mg calcium nitrate and an unknown mass of magnesium nitrate were dissolved in water to give a solution of volume 1.000 L. If the total hardness of the solution was 100.0 ppm expressed as CaCO3, what was the mass of magnesium nitrate added?
