01 Monte Carlo SS still stalling
Thanks for all your help so far guys but I'm still having issues with my car stalling.I have replaced the fuel pump and filter.I have replaced the Ignition Control Module and the Coils. The Maf Sensor was replaced about 6 months ago also.Im running out of patience with this car.The only other thing I can think of is the Ignition Switch is going bad.The engine is not throwing any codes out.The motor is a 3.8 nonsupercharged.Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Since you have had this problem for awhile now. Can you define what you mean by stalling? When it is happening and under what conditions. There are many problems that can create versions of "stalling" depending on when it is happening.

By stalling, I mean, it dies. Driving on the highway, doing 70. Or after accelerating from a stop at a light, Even doing just 25, coasting around a corner getting ready to come to a stop. There is no rhyme or rhythm to it. Hence the frustration. After replacing the ICM and COILS I didn't have a problem for about 2 weeks until today when it stalled going down the road. Then it wouldn't start for about 15 minutes then it started and it ran fine.

. Ensure you applied a thin, even coat of silicone heat transfer compound to the bottom of the ICM's heat sink. Failure to do this can cause the ICM to die prematurely.

. Check/replace the ignition switch for wear, pitting, or melting.

. I suspect the problem is with the new ICM, if the problem persists. Try exchanging it for another. Was it an ACDelco or aftermarket part?
