How can I treat my 3 year olds sons penis infection?
I think my 3 year old sons uncircumcised penis is infected. How can I treat it? I have tried neosporin, but he screams if I try to put anything on it. He is still in diapers and when he urinates he cries at the top of his lungs... I feel so bad for him, I just want to cry!!

When you bath him you should be, or should have been pulling his foreskin back, when not infected it is easy and does not hurt and cleaning. When it hasn't been kept clean, bacteria gather under the skin and cause infection. Yes I can imagine it is sore, but you will have to pull it back to clean; it is a fungal infection, and no, Antibiotic cream is not the answer.

I am hesitant to recommend; call his doctor and ask best approach and what to use. Desitin ointment would sooth it.
