    Mobile home repair
Hello I am in need to find out how to get my home repaired (if that will possibe that is). Currently I live in a 1974 mobile home with out a useable kitchen, the roof leaks through most of the outside walls, and some of the interior walls. The floors well not good at all, this mobile home should be trashed however, everyone tells me with some help it can be refinsihed. My question is at the age of this mobile home is it possible to get help, or is there another means to help me out with my problem. I am 60 this year and receive SSDI for income. Waiting patiently to hear from someone. Thank you, so far this site has been easy to use.

    Hello stevens5345!
I would say absolutely! They were made with exceptional quality back then. (by exceptional I mean the materials they used were excellent!)

The first step I would take would be to take pictures of almost every part of the mobile home and simply take those pictures to your local hardware store, or construction company. (CHANCES ARE, someone locally will have the knowledge and experience to point you in the right direction.)

If able, start with checking the condition of the homes wiring. Just check the overall condition.

Replacing walls, and make the kitchen usable will be a breeze! Just start with pictures.

I recently remodeled my parents home. It needed the same TLC that you are describing, IT NOW LOOKS AMAZING!

Let me know if that helped.

    Have a good day!
