We are assuming this is a jet pump above ground. If so, did you prime it? To do so, you will remove the plug on top of the impeller cage. Fill with water until if overflows. Wait a minute or two. The water level in the impeller cage should hold steady. Replace the plug and turn the pump back on. Should be good to go.

Water Pump not working [ 2 Answers ]

We had cold weather and we lost our water. It still hasn't come back. We replaced a blown fuse but it still doesn't work. Does the pump come on even if it needs to be primed? It makes no sounds. Does this mean that the motor is burned out? Or do I just need to prime it? Thank you.
