    The remote would no longer work. I replaced the battery with a new one.
    Now the remote "blue" light comes on and the ceiling light is on. The remote
    Does not operate the fan, nor will it turn the light off.

    I have the same question as you, trying to sound proof 2 floors and not sure if I need to leave space between this item and insulation
